YCSSW collaborates with institutions and organizations of repute at the regional and national level. The collaborations are interdisciplinary, promote cross-cultural research through seminars, workshops and conferences, and help increase knowledge of students and faculty.

Faculty members send research proposals to UGC, ICSSR, Zilla Parishad and other government departments. Industries also approach the Institute for conducting minor studies.

YCSSW has student and faculty exchange programmes with Shivaji College, Satara, and Asha College of Special Education, Satara.

Kirloskar Company entrusted the Institute with a research project on study of community perception about its CSR activities. It has helped the Institute share knowledge and expertise and start new initiatives.
